Dry Skin- This one is super simple! Find a scrub that is a little more oil based and non-abrasive. This one from Mario Bedescu is divine. It has almond and honey extract. Its also 20% off today only!! Perfect for your sensitive skin. You can even make one from a soft sugar and apricot kernel oil. 

Normal or Combo Skin- This one is my absolute favorite! This one from Image Skin Care has a combo of retinol and glycolic acid! Great for those occasional break outs or aging skin! Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing! 

Oily/Acne- This one is a great one for my ever dewy, ever beautifully shiny girls. Please do ot mistake oily skin for acnetic skin. If your pores are large or you have a darker skin type, this scrub that is also from Image Skin Care is for you. You definalty can benifit from the normal to combo skin scrub as well! If you are naturally dry but struggle with breakouts hormonally, please refer to normal and combo skin.

Hilary has been a sweet friend of mine since she first came into my salon to get her hair done 4 years ago. From lash extensions, lash tints, facials, waxes,... we had a great bond. So leading up to her wedding, I was so honored she chose me to be her makeup artist. 

She chose the amazing Villa Parker as her venue. What an amazing tucked away gem. With its Tuscan vibes and gated setting, its the perfect blend of intimate and grand. 

Then the flowers,.... THE FLOWERS!!!! 

Hilary doesn't need much making over. Her perfect skin tone, HER FRECKLES, and her sparkly eyes are the best canvas. We added mainly shimmery neutrals and a slight wing. The airbrush was the finishing touch.

When the wind blows through the fields and brings in the afternoon showers, you find a free flowing dress and flowers for your hair. 

Kristina with Decorus Photography and I wanted to put together a "wedding" styled shoot for the offbeat, boho, free people style, bride. Not everything needs to be white and formal.

Senior Portrait Season | Beauty with the Baby | Denver Airbrush Makeup Artist

Even though we've been buried in a few feet of snow these last few spring days, it has me thinking of that time when the kids are stir crazy. The windows are open and I can hear them on the playground at the school down the street. The older kids are walking home from school, and the high school kids are on their skateboards talking about summer camps and a much needed break. Its time for the juniors to schedule their senior portrait sessions. 

These past few years in Denver, I have a had some really fun opportunities to work with photographers with various styles for their senior clients. From in studio sessions, to city exploring, to mountain and foothill adventure settings. I can recommend one for each! 

I love when a senior chooses to have their makeup and hair done before their session. Sometimes they might suffer from acne, or just want to have a little glamour day to make the day solely about them. Its such a great stress reliever to have someone else do the work for you. I also throw in some tips and tricks during our glam sesh to help them recreate the look at home. I am also a licensed esthetician, and love giving out some key advice on keeping their skin healthy.
